I’m Mike Tanner and I’m providing strategic thinking and freelance copywriting services in southeastern Virginia. Of course, I’m available for assignments anywhere from Tidewater to Timbuktu.

You’ve probably noticed that most of the work displayed is concentrated on luxury real estate and resort clients. That’s an area of specialty, but this pony does more than one trick.

In more than 20 years as a copywriter, I’ve written for automotive, banking, cultural, economic development, healthcare and transportation accounts. I know a little bit about a lot of subjects, and I’m a quick study when it’s time to drill down on a specific subject.

Long copy is a strong suit for me; I’m not intimidated by brochures and other collateral material. I write websites, banner ads and email communications too.

I’m a born collaborator and credit a long list of fellow writers, art directors and graphic designers, photographers and illustrators, web designers, and even account managers and clients for the experience I’ve accumulated in my career.

On a personal note, I know enough about wine to be dangerous. I’m passionate about golf and possess an uncommon predilection for golf course architecture.
